It is 30 compressions to 2 breaths for all ages. You want to do 100-120 compressions per minute.
Effective compressions is vital when performing CPR. Start by laying the victim on a hard surface(the ground) and you will be kneeling next to the victim. To provide effective compression start by placing your palm(dominant if possible)down first and other hand on top. Hand placement will be center of chest along the sternum between the nipple line. Make sure to be chest over chest, straighten your arms and lock your elbows. Then begin by pushing straight down on the chest. You will compress 30 times. Between each compression you must allow the chest to recoil back. Compression depth is different for the adult, child, and infant.
Compression Depth:
Adult-at least 2in
Child-is about 2in
Infant-1.5in
