Does Principles of Direct Support meet the AZ DCW requirements?

YES!

Principles of Direct Support (PDS) is an AHCCCS APPROVED alternate curriculum to the DCW training.

PDS is broken down into 3 course bundles.

1. Direct Support Professional - Intellectual / Developmental Disabilities

This course bundle meets the level 1 Fundamentals AND the Level 2 Developmental Disabilities 

2. Direct Support Professional - Aging Adults

This course bundle meets the level 1 Fundamentals AND the Level 2 Aging and Physical Disabilities

3. Direct Support Professional - Universal

This course bundle meets the level 1 Fundamentals AND the Level 2 Developmental Disabilities AND Aging and Physical Disabilities

Once the Online modules have been completed the Agency or Learner needs to enroll in the DCW Challenge test. This test is offered in multiple locations.

OMNEAN does NOT offer a course covering Fundamentals ONLY. However, the Fundamentals Test can be taken alone during the challenge test.
